The Valley of the Waves:The enormous wave-pool has a sweep of white sand, clear
turquoise waters and waving palm trees. The waves are really big, appearing as
if by magic from behind a cliff or carved stone. Children will enjoy riding
down the Lazy River on tubes, but only the very daring should attempt the
'Temple of Courage', a hair-raising 130m plunge down sheer rock face, as well
as no fewer than four water slides
Golf Courses:Fairways and greens unroll like cloths of emerald velvet
over the bush-covered Pilanesberg hills. Sun City's original golf course
designed by Gary Player, hosts the annual million Sun City Million Dollar Golf
Challenge. The new 18-hole desert-style course at the Lost City features a
driving range, a halfway house for thirsty golfers and live crocodiles at the
13th hole.
Tropical Jungle:There are a half a million exotic and indigenous trees,
plants and shrubs in this spectacular 'jungle', which has various subthemes,
including a swamp area, baobab forest and rainforest.
Entertainment Centre: This palace of pleasure offers non-stop, mind-boggling
entertainment. The Hall of Treasures, with its domed, star-spangled roof,
contains bank after bank of state-of-the-art slot machines, some of them
offering huge progressive jackpots. Other attractions are 'virtual reality'
rides, video games, bingo, cinemas, cocktail bars, restaurants and exclusive
shops. Outside the complex is the amazing Bridge of Time, which is shaken now
and then by a realistic fake earthquake.
